The documentary film is a story of Klapkalnciems, an old hamlet enclosed by the sea and forests on the shore of the Gulf of Riga. At the beginning of the 1990s, which is the starting point for the film’s narrative, when the Latvian state regains its independence, the local people set their hopes on the revival of their village.
