
Armands Zvirbulis is an experienced TV director and editor with two National Film Awards "Lielais Kristaps" (Best Feature "The Desolate Nest" (co-directed)) and Best Editor ("The Island of John Doredo") and two national TV awards under his belt. With experiences ranging from top rated weekly live discussion show "What's Happening in Latvia?" to 2nd unit directing of largest production and top grossing film since independence "Defenders of Riga", Armands Zvirbulis made his claim of big screen feature film directing with the family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS.
The film became one of the most successful Latvian films ever on the international scene. It took part in 60 film festivals around the world gathering on the way 20 different awards, diplomas and nominations. Beside the home territory it was released theatrically in Germany, Russia and Austria. TV rights have been sold to all major European countries and other territories, including Japan, South Korea and Latin America.
