60 film festivals and events around the world, 20 different awards and nominations. That’s the final tally of family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS directed by Armands Zvirbulis. The film has travelled to following countries: Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, USA.
The film has received a tremendous amount of audience sympathy all around the world. It has been embodied by four different Audience Awards coming from as far apart as Canada, Germany, Indonesia and Latvia, as well as making the Audience Award short-listed Top 3 at “Cinekid” in the Netherlands.
The most interest in terms of festival screenings has been shown from Germany, Italy and Russia, followed by a mix of regions: North America (Canada, USA), Far East (India, Japan, South Korea) and closer neighbours (Czech Republic, Poland) and as a surprise entry Belgium.
We're happy to announce that in one year of world-wide festival attendance LITTLE ROBBERS has exceeded 50 film festival mark. During this time the film has gathered 15 different awards, diplomas and special mentions. LITTLE ROBBERS continues its' success with premiere screenings in following territories - Japan, Ireland and Mexico - during summer 2010.
We’re happy to announce that Little Robbers is the first Latvian film since almost two decades theatrically released in Russia. The film rolled out in cinemas on December 10, 2009 with gala premiere in Moscow’s legendary cinema “Udarnik”. The release covers more than 20 cities from St. Petersburg to Vladivastok. Little Robbers shall be also theatrically released in Belarus and Ukraine. It is distributed by RUSCICO.
Taking home Best Feature Film Award and Best Director’s Diploma LITTLE ROBBERS returned with a double victory from Mink International Children’s and Youth Film Festival in Belarus.

At this year’s National Film Awards “Lielais Kristaps” in its’ home country Latvia LITTLE ROBBERS was honored for Best Directing (Armands Zvirbulis) and for Best Make-Up (Ilze Trumpe). By majority vote the film also won Audience Award.
LITTLE ROBBERS just plucked three major nominations at National Film Awards „Lielais Kristaps” in its’ home country Latvia. The family adventure is nominated in categories Best Feature Film (producer Gatis Upmalis), Best Feature Film Director (director Armands Zvirbulis) and Best Cinematography (director of photography Rein Kotov).
In less than 4 months time since its’ first screening on festival circuit LITTLE ROBBERS has crossed mark of 20 confirmed film festivals world-wide.
As of September 9 there are 23 confirmed festivals on LITTLE ROBBERS’ account. The autumn 2009 festival schedule highlights include Amsterdam’s CINEKID and Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
LITTLE ROBBERS has been awarded as Best Adventure Film at International Children’s Film Festival “Artek”. It was the 17th edition of the festival taking place in Krim, resort area at the Black sea in Ukraine.
LITTLE ROBBERS just won Children's Audience Award (voted by majority viewer vote) at Munich Film Festival (Germany).
That makes it three awards in 3 months since LITTLE ROBBERS debuted on the film festival circuit.
Next up for the film and director Armands Zvirbulis is Giffoni Film Festival, where LITTLE ROBBERS takes part in Elements 6+ competition section.
We’re happy to announce that our latest family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS (Latvia-Austria, dir. Armands Zvirbulis) just came back from ZLIN International Film Festival for Children and Youth (Czech Republic) with a commendation awarded by festival’s ecumenical jury.
Seoul International Youth Film Festival (South Korea) shall welcome the East-Asian premiere of LITTLE ROBBERS (dir. Armands Zvirbulis). The event in its’ 11th edition shall take place July 9 – 15, 2009.
Studio F.O.R.M.A.’s latest film, family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS has been invited to compete in main competition at ZLIN International Film Festival for Children And Youth (Czech Republic). It is one of the oldest youth oriented film events in the world marking its’ 49th edition this year (May 31 – June 7). The festival shall be attended by film director Armands Zvirbulis and Gustavs Vilsons, who portrays the adventurous Robby (age 5) in LITTLE ROBBERS.
We’re happy to announce that family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS, debut feature of director Armands Zvirbulis, has been selected for competition in “Elements 6+” section at Giffoni Film Festival, Italy. It is with great pleasure that we accept invitation to the largest film festival for kids in Europe and one of the important events in youth and children oriented content in the world. LITTLE ROBBERS shall compete for the main prize GOLDEN GRYPHON AWARD. Director Armands Zvirbulis shall attend the event that will take place from July 12-17, 2009 in Giffoni, Italy.
Easter was happy time for Latvian (Studio F.O.R.M.A.) – Austrian (MINI FILM) co-production, family adventure LITTLE ROBBERS. The film received its’ first festival prize at Riga International Children's film festival "Berimor's Cinema". LITTLE ROBBERS was awarded the main prize Berimor’s "Big Pillow". Director Armands Zvirbulis and producer Gatis Upmalis were present to receive the honors.
It is a tradition now that films produced by Studio F.O.R.M.A. (Latvia) travel well on film festival circuit around the world. We’re glad that LITTLE ROBBERS (dir. Armands Zvirbulis) follows the suite. It shall open up its’ festival route by participation at EUROCINE 27 event supported by EU Media Program on May 9th, the official Day of Europe in Paris, France. In Germany the film opens at Munich Film Festival (June 26 – July 4, 2009) and it opens the festival path in United Kingdom at Showcomotion Young People's Film Festival in Sheffield.
